First mission

Garthen tried a slight wave of his hand, "But you haven't found two."

"Pretty sure I have," the thief glared, the trick not working. "And you'll pay for that."
The thief reached into his jacket, Jersha freezing up as he pulled out his own weapon; a stolen lightsaber.

Before the thief could activate it though, someone suddenly dropped down from the rooftops, in between the thief and the two Padawans. The hooded man. He stood facing the thief, his voice low and threatening as he spoke. "Hand over the weapon and leave the kids alone."

Garthen moved to stand in front of Jersha when the hooded man jumped down in front of them, he wasn't sure what was going on and he hoped he could protect his fellow Padawan.

Jersha frowned, a little irritated that Garthen stepped in front of him, but he didn't argue. Instead, he slowly turned to face the mercenaries behind them. Before he drew his own lightsaber though, the hooded man raised a hand toward the mercenaries and each of their weapons seemed to collapse in on themselves. Jersha gasped when he realised the hooded man had done it using the Force. A former Jedi?

"Hand. Over. The. Lightsaber," the man said again to the thief as the mercenaries fled. The thief nodded nervously, letting the stolen item drop to the ground before he fled too, pushing passed the Padawans.

Garthen knew for sure this man was a Jedi when he saw how he destroyed the weapons, only the force was that strong. The only thing he did not know was which master it was, when the thief ran he turned his head to watch him for only a moment before looking back at their rescuer. "You are a Jedi aren't you?"

Still a little nervous, Jersha took a hesitant step away from the man after turning back to face him, watching as the man crouched to pick up the stolen saber.

"I was," the man shrugged before standing again. "And I was under the impression there were no more Jedi. Apparently, I was wrong."

Garthen glanced at Jersha, he almost knew who the elder Jedi was, but he was still unsure. "There are few left, Master Obi Wan has started a new temple for the remaining. I am his Padawan..."

"Oh, he did huh?" the man sounded surprised. "...Obi-Wan Kenobi took a new Padawan?" he wasn't sure he believed that.

"He did," Jersha nodded.

"It was at Master Shaak Ti's suggestion..." Garthen said softly, he was grateful to have a Master again, but often he could feel the mistrust from him.

"Hm." He still wasn't sure he believed it, but he shrugged rather than arguing. "You two shouldn't be out here alone."

"We were looking for thief and what he stole."

"What I meant," the man said as he examined the stolen Lightsaber. "Is that you two do not seem...experienced enough to be out with no Masters."

Jersha looked annoyed. "We are too!"

"Master Obi Wan thought we were able enough." Garthen said as he looked at him.

"Yet you both walked right into their trap," the man pointed out before staring at Jersha from underneath his hood. "And you're getting angry. You cannot control your emotions. Bad sign."

"I can too!" Jersha snapped, accidentally proving the man's point.

"Jersha..." Garthen said softly to his companion, they didn't need another fight. "It is true we need more training, but what better way to learn sir?"

Jersha huffed, but didn't argue; instead taking a deep breath to help calm himself.

"The idea of having a Master, is so that they can teach you," the man replied, sounding a little annoyed. "And being out on the streets, on Coruscant of all places is dangerous."

"My first master was not a good teacher I'm afraid, Master Obi Wan thought it would be safer for two unknown boys to be here then a well known master like he or Master Shaak Ti."

The man shrugged. "I suppose. But we should still get away from here, in case they return. Or report us."

"Our ship is over this way..." Gathen nodded as he started to move away from the alleyway.

"Wait." The man used the Force to stop them, unsure if they'd stop otherwise. "They may be waiting for you there if they know it's yours. Come with me for now."

"You? Why should we?" Jersha asked with a roll of his eyes.

"Tell us your name first... For all we know it could be a trap..."

The man sighed. "I was known as Jedi Master Mace Windu," he said, reaching up with both hands to lower his hood, showing scars on the right side of his head.

"Master Windu!" Garthen said in shock, "They said you were dead..."

"That's what they thought." Mace shrugged.

"Didn't you fight the Emperor? And-and Vader?" Jersha asked excitedly, making Mace roll his eyes.

"We heard about your battle, your the only one to ever fight the Emperor." Garthen said, a little excitement coming through as well.
