New Padawans

Medi nodded, "Alright sir." He started taking off his armor, he was hungry. "Thank you sir."

"You are most welcome," Obi-Wan said, bowing his head politely.

Medi set his things in his ship before following Shaak Ti towards the temple.

Obi-Wan waited a moment, slowly following after them, still lost in thought.

Garthen stopped when he saw the clone walking with the two masters.

Shaak Ti felt the fear coming from the young Padawan.

Sensing the fear too, Obi-Wan quickly looked up. "Calm yourself," he said softly to Garthen.

"But he's a Clone Master Kenobi..." Garthen managed to get out quietly, he tried to calm down though.

"He is," Obi-Wan confirmed. "However, he does not seem to have been affected by whatever turned the others against us."

Garthen took a deep breath and nodded, calming himself. "I understand."

"I'm sorry... I didn't mean to scare him..." Medi said quietly.

"It is not your fault," Obi-Wan replied with a calming gesture. "You did not ask to be modelled with the face of a killer. ...or ask for the others to be brainwashed."

"I still don't understand it sir... All my squad respected our General... They treated us well and didn't just act like we were weapons... What did they do to us to make the others turn?" Medi questioned the Jedi, hopeful he could at least answer that.

Obi-Wan ran a hand through his auburn hair, looking troubled. "I have meditated on that quite often actually. I do not believe it was anything we did, but rather something that was, uh... say pre-installed when the Clones were first created," he explained. He glanced over at the others before deciding to add, for the sake of the Padawans "Master Yoda at the time, passed on to the Council what I had discovered. An old Master had authorised the creation of the Army years before, with the help of a man known as 'Tyrannus'. Better known to us as Count Dooku... so such interference would not surprise me."

"So we were... There was no way to stop it?" Medi looked crestfallen, "They planned to use us before we were even made..." It was hard swallow, but it seemed to ring true to his head. "Could I have been defective or programed wrong? I didn't want to attack my General."
