First mission

Back to Coruscant; former home of the Jedi and Jersha's home planet. He'd been so young when the Jedi had taken him to raise him as one of them that he couldn't recall his parent's faces, meaning throughout his years of training, he could have walked by them a number of times and never known it...assuming they'd even stayed on the planet.

It was weird being back, even if it was only temporary.

Jersha was accompanied by his fellow Padawan, looking for a thief who had been claiming they possessed a stolen artifact from the former Temple. Obi-Wan had insisted they go investigate and - if the boasts were true - retrieve what was stolen.

Their search led them below Coruscant's main city to the crime filled underworld. A man caught Jersha's attention as they made their way through a market street. His face was hidden by his jacket hood and Jersha noticed a metallic shine at the end of one sleeve, hinting at some sort of prosthetic. Something about him seemed familiar, but the Padawan wasn't sure what.

He shrugged. "That's not the mission..." he muttered to himself.

Garthen took a deep breath, trying to sense if anything for off. So far things seemed to be going well, no one seemed to pay attention to them and they hadn't seen any clone troopers. He noticed Jersha seemed a little distracted, "What is it?" He asked his fellow Padawan.

"Hm? ...nothing," Jersha replied, hesitating for a moment before deciding to explain. "There was a man, possibly someone who helped in the Clone Wars? I think he had a metal hand... Nothing important to the mission, I don't think."

Garthen nodded slowly, many people had lost hands and limbs to the clone wars. "Keep an eye out... In case they follow us."

Jersha nodded. "We need to find the thief. That is our focus."

Garthen nodded, "his last known hiding place is just up ahead, lets look for clues."

Jersha nodded, forcing himself to forget about the man as they went to investigate.

Garthen used to force to feel for any danger before shielding his mind from any detection.

"I have a bad feeling about this..." Jersha muttered when their search led from the hideout to an alley away from the main market street.

"Relax..." Garthen said softly.

"I am trying," Jersha replied, taking a deep breath. "But the whole thing seems...off."

"I know... But we have to find out..."

Jersha nodded. "Master Kenobi wants whatever was stolen. If they really do have something."

"Lets hope they do.. Another piece of home would be nice..." Garthen said softly.

Jersha nodded. "It would be..."

He went to say something else, but was stopped as the thief stepped out a short distance in front of them.

"It would huh? Little boys missing their 'home'?" the thief smirked.

Garthen frowned and stood defensively, "Your the thief..."

The thief - a young, blonde man - nodded. "So they say. It wasn't being used."

"Those things don't belong to you... But we're willing to pay for their recovery..." Garthen said softly.

"We are?" Jersha asked, tilting his head to one side.

"We are, we have credits." Garthen said with a nod.

"Who says I want credits?" the blonde asked.

Jersha tensed, his 'bad feeling' getting stronger. He slowly reached a hand out, intending to poke Garthen to get his attention.

"Maybe I just heard there were Jedi still 'round. I don't like Jedi..."

Garthen could feel it too, though he still tried to put forward a brave face. "Who says that Jedi remain? They were all wiped...."

"I hear them Clones talk 'bout it lots," the thief shrugged. "They say there's a reward if we can bring 'em one..."
As the thief spoke, a group of mercenaries quietly entered the alley behind them, armed and blocking off the exit.

Garthen flashed a charming smile, "Then I'm sure you'll be looking very carefully for one..." He knew they were going to have to fight their way out, his right hand rested on his saber. He didn't draw it yet, he didn't want to start a fight yet.

The thief laughed. "Oh no, I'm pretty sure I found TWO, even if they're kids."
