A moment of madness

Aayla was becoming uneasy. She was glad to have her new travel companion, Lu'pa, but their last trip had taken them passed Coruscant's orbit and the former Jedi had been unsettled since having done so. She laid in her ship bunk bed, in an uneasy sleep. The Twi'lek tossed and turned, murmuring about her old Master. In her dream, she saw the silhouette of a dreadlocked man, holding a lightsaber. It was the same hair her Master, Quinlan Voss had had. She swore it was him...

Her Force senses jolted her awake then, and Aayla quickly sprang out of her bunk, making sure her old lightsaber was safe in her hidden pocket, inside her vest. At her side, Aayla had a trademark smuggler's blaster. Fast, and reliable. Another ship was approaching, her senses told her as she hurried to the cockpit.

"Lu'pa?" she called out as she looked around anxiously.

Lupa sat up from where she had been dozing off in the her co-pilot chair, half wondering if she had imagined Aayla calling her name. In space she had trouble keeping track of time and she wondered how long her eyes had been closed. "Sister Aayla?" She addressed respectfully.

"I sense someone is coming," Aayla told her friend with a frown. "Hopefully, it is not a rival. Or authorities out for Smugglers..."

Lu-pa frowned and tentatively tried to reach out, sensing something. "Can you sense who yet?"

Shaak Ti looked at her young apprentice, "Are you ready for this? We will not attack unless they do first."

Jaxx sat at the controls of his ship, waiting for the next bounty to come up.

"No..." Aayla muttered, frowning uncertainly. In the past she could have, but she'd been slacking on her practice beyond meditation. Her skills were rusty.

"I know, I know," Jersha sighed impatiently. He'd been told off in the past for rushing ahead and getting into unnecessary fights. "I will wait for your, or Master Kenobi's word."

Behind him, Iokua stood like a statue. His eyes were open, however, he was not seeing what Jaxx saw, but instead connected through the Force to his Sith Master. In his mind, he was communicating with Sidious as if back on Coruscant, receiving orders.

Lu-Pa looked at where her blaster holster hung. "Should we arm?"

"We aren't here for a fight, we just are checking a rumor out." Shaak Ti said as she flew closer to to ship.

Jaxx looked back at his companion, he noticed the faraway look in his eyes. Seemed to be they we getting special orders again.
